Terms of Use
1. These terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to schedulegate.dev and commercial purchases of ScheduleGate Pro.
Software rights are governed by the applicable software license, not by this page:
- Community use is under the GNU Affero General Public License v3 (AGPLv3).
- Pro use after a valid purchase is under the ScheduleGate Commercial License.
If these Terms conflict with the applicable software license on software rights, that license controls. If they conflict with Gumroad’s checkout terms on payment, tax, or receipts, Gumroad’s terms control for that purchase.
2. Who we are
ScheduleGate is operated by Gil Junqueira (“we”, “us”). Contact: support@schedulegate.dev.
The product currently offered is the ScheduleGate command-line interface (CLI) for macOS, Windows, and Linux. A desktop GUI is not part of the current commercial offering.
3. Two licenses: Community (AGPLv3) vs Pro (commercial)
Community. You may use the public source and Community-tier binary under AGPLv3 at no charge. Community is limited to one assessment per calendar month with terminal output only. validate remains available. HTML, CSV, Excel, JSON, compare, and check-patterns are not included. If you modify the software and provide it as a network service, AGPLv3 §13 requires you to offer Corresponding Source. The public repository is the Corresponding Source for the unmodified project.
Pro. Buying ScheduleGate Pro ($99 per year, currently the only paid product) grants a Commercial License for one user. That license replaces AGPLv3 copyleft and source-disclosure obligations for you as licensee. Pro unlocks unlimited assessments and the gated commands and export formats listed on the site and in the user manual. The key is valid for one year plus a seven-day grace period, then the software falls back to Community (AGPLv3) until you renew.
Team, Lifetime, and Enterprise tiers may be described on the site as coming soon. They are not offered for sale unless a checkout page says otherwise.
You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or lease the commercial software; reverse-engineer the license validation mechanism; or use the software to build a competing commercial product. Seat limits in the purchased tier are binding. The Commercial License is non-transferable unless a purchased tier expressly allows transfer.
4. Purchases and Gumroad as merchant of record
Paid licenses are sold through Gumroad. Gumroad, Inc. is the merchant of record for those sales. Gumroad processes payment, issues the receipt, and handles applicable sales tax or VAT. We do not receive or store your card number.
After a successful sale, Gumroad notifies our license server. We mint an HMAC-signed key and email it to the purchase address via Resend (from noreply@schedulegate.dev). Activate with schedulegate license set SG-….

5. License keys and no telemetry
Keys are validated locally. The CLI does not phone home, does not send schedule files or usage data to us, and works air-gapped. Community monthly usage is stored only on your machine (default ~/.schedulegate.yaml).
Because validation is offline, we cannot remotely disable a key after issue. A refund or termination ends the commercial permission to use Pro features. Continued Pro use after that is not authorized. Run schedulegate license clear after a refund.
6. Website
The site is provided as-is for information, documentation, and links to download or buy. Do not attempt to disrupt it or probe systems beyond the public pages. See the Privacy Policy for what hosting and purchase flows may log.
7. Disclaimer and liability
THE SOFTWARE AND SITE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. ScheduleGate reports are decision-support tools; you remain responsible for schedule quality and any contractual or regulatory use of the output.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM THE SOFTWARE OR SITE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR A PAID PURCHASE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THAT LICENSE TERM.
8. Changes, law, contact
We may update these Terms. The published version on this URL applies from its stated date. Material changes to a paid term will not apply retroactively to an already-started Pro term except as required by law or the Commercial License.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America, matching the Commercial License.
